Pre-Algebra — Grade 8

Prepare for algebra by making connections among numbers, patterns, equations, and graphs. Students strengthen computational accuracy while learning to represent and solve increasingly complex problems.

Learning focus

• Work confidently with rational numbers and exponents
• Explore linear relationships, equations, and inequalities
• Apply geometric reasoning and interpret data

This course is available individually or as one of four courses in the applicable full core program. Families selecting the full program should register for that program rather than purchasing the same included course separately; Wild Wonder Collective will coordinate classroom placement.

Placement: Math placement is based on readiness and prior learning.

Schedule and enrollment

• Semester: January 19–May 14, 2027.
• Meets: Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 AM–11:00 AM.
• Recommended ages/grades: 8th.
• Tuition: $125 per month for five payments, January–May ($625 semester tuition). Payments are due January 1, February 1, March 1, April 1, and May 1, 2027.
• Supply fee: $20 due at enrollment.
• Class limit: 15 students.
