High School — Algebra 1

Build the language and problem-solving tools of algebra. Students connect symbolic expressions, equations, tables, and graphs to understand relationships and model situations.

Learning focus

• Solve and interpret equations and inequalities
• Explore linear, quadratic, and exponential relationships
• Explain mathematical reasoning and apply models to problems

This course is available individually or as one of four courses in the applicable full core program. Families selecting the full program should register for that program rather than purchasing the same included course separately; Wild Wonder Collective will coordinate classroom placement.

Recommended placement

Texas TEKS recommends Grade 8 or 9. Prerequisite: Grade 8 mathematics or equivalent proficiency. Older students may be placed according to readiness.

Schedule and enrollment

• Semester: January 19–May 14, 2027.
• Meets: Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 AM–11:00 AM.
• Recommended ages/grades: 8th,9th.
• Tuition: $125 per month for five payments, January–May ($625 semester tuition). Payments are due January 1, February 1, March 1, April 1, and May 1, 2027.
• Supply fee: $20 due at enrollment.
• Class limit: 15 students.
