High School — English I

Strengthen high school reading, writing, and communication through the study of literature and informational texts. English I emphasizes thoughtful interpretation, clear organization, and support for ideas.

Learning focus

• Analyze literary elements, arguments, and author choices
• Write organized responses using relevant textual evidence
• Develop research, revision, language, and presentation skills

This course is available individually or as one of four courses in the applicable full core program. Families selecting the full program should register for that program rather than purchasing the same included course separately; Wild Wonder Collective will coordinate classroom placement.

Recommended placement

High school English I level; placement based on readiness and prior English coursework. Texas TEKS defines this course by content and credit rather than a mandatory single grade.

Schedule and enrollment

• Semester: January 19–May 14, 2027.
• Meets: Tuesday and Thursday, 11:15 AM–12:15 PM.
• Recommended ages/grades: 9th,10th,11th,12th.
• Tuition: $125 per month for five payments, January–May ($625 semester tuition). Payments are due January 1, February 1, March 1, April 1, and May 1, 2027.
• Supply fee: $20 due at enrollment.
• Class limit: 15 students.
