FAQs

Q:

What is We The Parents Christian Homeschoolers Association (WTPCHA)?

A:

We The Parents Christian Homeschoolers is a cooperative homeschool group that provides supplemental educational experiences for homeschooling families in a supportive Christian environment. We offer classes, field trips, activities, and a community where families can connect and learn together.

Q:

What are the benefits of joining WTPCHA?

A:

By joining WTPCHA, you'll gain access to a variety of classes taught by experienced homeschool parents, enriching field trips, social events for both parents and children, and a strong support network of like-minded families. Our co-op is a place where you can build lasting friendships and find encouragement on your homeschooling journey.

Q:

Do I need to be Christian to join?

A:

We welcome families from diverse faith backgrounds. While our co-op is founded on Christian principles, we respect different beliefs and welcome those who are willing to engage respectfully within our Christian environment. We simply ask that all participants refrain from promoting ideas contrary to our Statement of Faith during co-op activities.

Q:

What is the level of parent involvement expected?

A:

WTPCHA is a cooperative, so active parent participation is essential. We ask that each adult member either teach, and assist in a class for at least two learning periods. This is not a drop-off program; we believe that parental involvement enriches the learning experience for everyone.

Q:

What are the costs associated with membership?

A:

We have a semester operating fee of $35 per family, and some classes have additional material fees. We strive to make our co-op affordable and accessible to all families.

Q:

How do I know if WTPCHA is the right fit for my family?

A:

We encourage you to review our Statement of Faith and bylaws, and reach out to us with any questions you may have. We are happy to talk with you about our co-op and help you determine if it's a good fit for your family's needs and values.
