Description:
Spanish I is a beginning Spanish course designed to introduce English-speaking home-schooled students to the language, culture, and religion of the Hispanic world from Spain to Mexico, and from Argentina to California to Nebraska and New York. It will provide a thoroughly integrated cultural approach to language learning, emphasizing the everyday aspects of the contemporary Spanish-speaking world while teaching four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. By the end of Spanish I, the students should feel comfortable communicating with Spanish speakers in the present tense in some every day situations.
Recommended for students in 8th grade and at least 13 years old and having completed the equivalent of English I.
