This hands-on Film Production class introduces students to the art and technology of filmmaking while developing creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. Students will learn the fundamentals of storytelling, scriptwriting, storyboarding, cinematography, directing, lighting, sound design, practical effects, editing, and digital media production through interactive lessons and team-based projects. Throughout the course, students will apply media literacy and problem-solving skills as they plan, film, and edit original short films. The class emphasizes creativity, teamwork, project management, and responsible use of technology while giving students practical experience in modern multimedia production. A final film showcase will allow students to present their completed projects and celebrate their work.
Students do not need any special equipment but if they have a phone or camera, it would be super helpful to bring it so we can practice.
