FAQs

General Questions

Q:

How much does it cost?

A:

There are several factors that go into each semester cost but it is determined by the number of families involved and our fixed costs.  Our goal is to make this affordable to everyone! Financial aid may be available. Please note this in your request for more information.

Q:

Is Common Ground inclusive?

A:

Yes! Everyone is welcome here! Please read our "about" statement and contact us with any questions.

Q:

How often do you meet?

A:

We meet weekly on Thursdays, with the main class time being 9am-12:30pm. Depending on your course selections, this could extend from 8am-2pm.

Q:

What ages can attend?

A:

Homeschooling families can join when at least one child is four years of age or older. We offer classes from nursery through 12th grade.

Q:

Who are the teachers?

A:

You are! This is a parent-led co-op. Our main school day has three class periods. One parent from each enrolled family will teach a class, help in a class, and have a free period. You are welcome and encouraged to teach more than one class.

Q:

What are the classes like?

A:

Our goal is to offer both core and enrichment classes for all ages. These can include language arts, science, history, math, art, music, gym, world languages, culinary, etc. The only limit is your imagination - if there's something you're passionate about and want to teach, the class can happen!
