Northwest TN Homeschool Co-op

Colossians 2:7 Rooted and Built Up in Him

Anita Dunn To All Instructors

I received my bachelor’s in mathematics from St. Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana, in 2004 and my master’s in mathematics from Purdue University in 2006. From 2006-2016 I was a full-time math professor at Dyersburg State Community College. There, I taught many different classes, from Pre-Algebra to College Algebra. Since 2018 I’ve taught several different courses for DSCC online, and I’ve also recently developed and currently teach two online math courses for future elementary teachers.

I have been married to Martin for 16 years, and we have three kids: Josh, Matt, and CeCe. In 2016, when I quit working full time, I started homeschooling Josh, who was starting kindergarten. I love teaching my children, and I love the homeschool community.

My educational philosophy would be that I always want to take students from where they are right now skillswise and then help them build to where they need to be. I also want them to see how enjoyable and useful topics taught in these classes can be.
