Jennifer Julian To All Instructors
I have been married to Michael Julian since 2002, and we have three children, Olivia, Allison, and Parker. We began homeschooling in 2009 when Olivia started Kindergarten and she became our first graduate in 2022, with Allison following in 2025, and Parker is now in 11th grade. In 2023, Olivia married Christopher, and they are stationed in NJ with the US Air Force. We have 3 dogs - Ginger, Ace, and Charlie, Melanie the cat, and a gray horse named Bandit, as well as several bonus horses - Baby JR, Bronco, and Billy, that keep us entertained daily.
Our family has been a part of NWTN Homeschool Co-op since it began in 2018. The 26/27 school year will be my 9th year as a tutor with the co-op. This is our 18th year homeschooling, and we are nearing the end of our journey! I have been a member of the NWTNHSC Board since our beginning, and I currently serve as board secretary.
I am a native of Dyer County, and we have lived in Obion County since 2008. My husband pastors a church in Kenton, TN, in southeast Obion County. We are active members in our church, Weakley County 4H, West TN Lil Wranglers Rodeo Association, Newbern Saddle Club, and various community activities. My husband and I also enjoy serving the students at the BCM on UTM’s campus whenever we have the opportunity.
Now that my kids are older, life looks a lot different than it did in our early homeschool years. My days are spent getting my daily 3.5 miles in with Charlie, overseeing school for my one student still at home, going to golf matches, rodeos, and orchestra concerts, working on my co-op classes, running errands for my family, and keeping the Dr. Pepper and Mt. Dew stocked for all of the young adults coming and going from our house. I love feeding my people, reading, thrift-store shopping, and sitting around the fire pit with my family with country music coming through the speaker. I am loving this new season we are in with grown and nearly grown children -and it has definitely strengthened my prayer life like never before!
I believe every child is special and created by God to do amazing things. I have a hands-on approach to learning. I want my classes to be interactive and fun as we learn together.
