Christina McMahan To All Instructors
I have been married to my husband John McMahan, since November of 2000. In 2018, we became a foster/adoptive family to youth with extra needs. In 2019, we adopted our son and in 2023, we adopted our two youngest daughters. Together, we have six children (5 daughters and 1 son!), ranging in ages 34, 32, 19, 16, 16, and 15. We also have been blessed with six grandchildren so far.
We began our homeschooling journey with our oldest daughter in 2007. At present, we have three graduates and three currently in school. Although I gravitate to a Classical/Charlotte Mason approach, I have homeschooled each of our children with the learning style that best suits their needs.
I love spending time with and serving my family and church family, cooking, baking, canning, working on projects on our homestead and traveling in and out of the country.
I am originally from Southern California and grew up in a Spanish speaking home. I moved to Tennessee with my family in 1995 and have lived in Obion County for 30 years. John is originally from West Tennessee. We met while I was studying Spanish at UTM, with the intention to ESL in a foreign country. Instead, I worked as an interpreter for the state until we had our third daughter and decided to homeschool. I now work alongside my husband John in IT Management and homeschool my children.
