FAQs
Q: |
Will staff members have background checks? |
A: |
Yes, all staff and volunteers will be background checked, as well as have training via the Ministry Safe certification program. |
Q: |
My student is not currently working on grade level, will that be a problem? |
A: |
No. Our group instruction approach revolves around the assumption that each class and grade level will have varying levels of ability represented. Our classes focus on curiosity, communication, a love for learning, and meeting students where they are. |
Q: |
Do I need to purchase curriculum in addition to what will be used during campus days? |
A: |
The only curriculum necessary for families to choose and purchase is the language arts program of your choice. Due to varying ages, learning syles, and pacing when it comes to reading, families are encouraged to select what serves your family best. Math books will be purchased using the supply fee and will be used both at home and during campus days. The curriculum that has been chosed for both science and social studies are designed to be taught twice per week, and therefore do not require at home resources, nor time. However, as the primary educator of your child, parents are welcome and encouraged to supplement any content they prefer. |
