Welcome to the Wellington Support Group.
We'll start our meeting with a small devotion, general PEC announcements, homeschool topic of the month, and information about field trip opportunities and upcoming events.
THE TOPIC FOR THIS MONTH:
Let's Go to the Basics:
The Importance of Bible Study and Character Building
We all feel excited to start our school year and open our new books and curriculums, right? But we can't forsake the privilege and freedom we have as homeschoolers to include in our daily schedule the basic foundation: Bible study, and Character Building.
The elementary school years are the unique opportunity we have to influence our kids, to shape their character and to plant the seeds of faith. We are living in a time where the attack to the minds of the teenagers is constant and dangerous and what you do as a parent to prepare your children at home in their daily walk and relationship with God will make a difference in their future teen years.
Come to this meeting as we share with you ideas how to do implement your bible study in a natural and joyful way every day.
Your family and your homeschool will harvest the blessings that come from seeking first the Kingdom of God.

This a FREE field trip, but in order to reserve your spot you most pay a $5.00 per family refundable fee. This fee will be refunded on site, the morning of our field trip. There will be no refunds after payments are made and in case of cancellations, all proceeds will be donated to the TAG Group.
"Blessing Table": Donation of school supplies or curricula that you no longer need. You can also donate clothes. Please just remember to pick up your items if they are not taken.
Library: Our librarian Gemma Kibben will bring our mobile library. Please stop to take a look to the new books that she has added to enrich our Wellington library selection.
Box Tops for Education: Keep bringing those Box Tops! Collecting box tops is an EASY way to help our group get funding for prizes, parties, and other activities. Just look for the white squares with the pink file folder marked BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION on many of the brands you already buy. Simply cut them out, collect in a plastic baggie, and bring to the park meeting. Please trim your box tops before bringing them in, but be careful not to cut the expiration date! You can even ask grandparents and relatives to collect for you, as well.
Meeting will start promptly at 11:00 am
It's a good idea to come at 10:45 am to chat with fellow homeschool families.
