Who teaches the classes? |

AGAPE is a parent-led co-op. Parents, grandparents, and family members may teach or assist. No degree is required - just a heart for teaching. |

Are clearances required? |

Yes, all adults (anyone over 18) must submit clearances. They are free and the information to obtain them is below.
AGAPE BACKGROUND CLEARANCES INSTRUCTIONS In accordance with PA State law, each volunteer over 18 must submit copies of the following clearances (within the last 5 years).
1. Child Abuse History Clearance (online): The system will generate a report and email it to you when it’s ready. This can take a few days to a few weeks depending on the amount of clearances being processed at the time. This clearance is free of charge when you list that the purpose is to volunteer. You can apply online at https://www.compass.state.pa.us/CWIS
2. State Police Criminal Records Clearance (online): This clearance will generate your report immediately. This clearance is free of charge when you list that the purpose is to volunteer. Apply online at https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.jsp |

Are students required to attend every class period? |
A: |
No, students may attend one, two, or all three class periods. We understand that some families may have prior arrangements and may not be able to arrive until later in the morning. |

Are classes grouped by age or grade? |
A: |
Classes are group by grade level. We recognize that each child develops at their own papce and may be working at different grade levels depending on the subject. For consistency in planning, families should select the grade level their child is enrolling in at home when registering for classes. Our classes are broken down into the following grade level bands: Pre-K - K
