The Charles Martel Latin School exists to teach Classical Latin language to children, ages 13-18.  Latin is taught as an active language, for both reading and composition. Oral Latin is emphasized during the lessons, and correct pronunciation is emphasized for linguistic understanding. 

Instruction is online, via Zoom, and consists of private lessons.  Live classes can be arranged if convenient to all involved.  In winter this is less likely to work out. 

Latin Club is a seasonal activity, coordinating somewhat to the traditional school year.  It is open, gratis, to children who wish to master grammar and syntax skills.  Locations are arranged as the new school year begins and as interest requires.

Shelley Carda, MA, has 15 years experience teaching Latin to children, 6 years in classroom and 15 years online, both in South Dakota and Arizona, and can provide references. She was an organizer and grammar teacher at the Hail Caesar! Latin Camp at the University of Arizona. Her students have a great track record of winning medals in the National Latin Exam, and of being offered generous college scholarships based on their mastery of Latin.
