Moms Events

Moms Events Team: If you are passionate about bringing homeschool moms together, this is the volunteer position for you! There will be one moms event in the fall and one in the spring. These are flexible to the creativity of the coordinator but could include a workshop, guest speaker, or social event. Volunteers will work with the coordinator to find a location, develop the event, and advertise.

Moms Event Coordinator: We are in need of a motivated mom to head our moms event team. These events are developed with the goal to connect moms within VHE.

Elementary Activities

Do you have younger children (10 and under) or have a passion for little ones? Consider volunteering to plan an activity or field trip for younger students. It can be as simple as a playdate at a local park, a craft day, or field trip that would interest this age group. The minimum requirement is 1 event but you are welcome to plan as many events as your time and creativity will allow.

Middle & High School Activities

Do you have middle school or high schoolers? Or maybe you're a retired teacher or have a skill that could bless our older students. Consider the volunteer opportunity for planning an activity or field trip for older students.

Many of our events for the older students focus on career development, educational exploration, or is a social event. Previous volunteers have planned trips to different factories, vo-tech schools, pizza parties, game nights, museums, to a local artisan, and even Washington D.C. The minimum expectation is to plan 1 event, but you may plan as many events as your time and creativity will allow.
