Annual Craft Bazaar
Looking for a way to encourage entrepreneurial skills in your children or an outlet for their creative energy? VHE is hosing it’s 3rd annual Craft Bazaar on Saturday, October 23rd from 9am-1pm at the Mt. Crawford Ruritan! Items for the sale in the past have included yarn and string crafts, woodworked items, baked goods, jewelry, homemade candy, greeting cards, and much more. This event is geared toward encouraging our kids to grow in their knowledge of how to run a business, market their product, improve on a craft/skill, etc. but if you as a parent also want to contribute something as well, that’s allowed. We will be creating a flyer that you can send, post, etc. to help invite others to the event, and make sure your kids help spread the word, too! For non-perishable items, we encourage kids to start working on making their items now.
Set up time is 8-9am, tear down time is 1-2pm. Please bring your reservation fee in cash to the event.
Cost:
VHE members: $5 per table
Non-Members: $10 per table
You can reserve more than one table, if needed.
SIGN UP DETAILS: Only sign up ONE person if you only want to reserve ONE table. 1 name = 1 table reserved. You are welcome to share the table amongst your family at the event. If you want to reserve an additional table, select a second family member’s name. 2 names = 2 tables reserved. There are 18 total spots for tables,
VHE members will be able to register starting September 4th, and nonmembers will be able to register starting September 11th. Be sure to include what you are planning to sell when you sign up, and take a look at what others are making! We hope to have a wide variety! You can also offer ‘pre-orders’ for items, and have people come pick them up during the sale - and encourage them to have a look around!
