The Lost Elephant with the Tulsa Symphony featuring Dan Kamin
Sunday, November 16, 3:00 p.m.
Chapman Music Hall at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center
What has become of Elmer the Elephant? He’s nowhere to be found, but the zookeeper is determined to track him down. In this “comedy concerto” presented by Tulsa Children’s Museum, Dan Kamin, who created Johnny Depp’s physical comedy routines in Benny and Joon and trained Robert Downey, Jr. for his role in Chaplin, will conjure up a jungle full of animals with a few simple props, his amazing movement skills, and the music of the Tulsa Symphony. It’s a thrilling show for kids and a great way to introduce them to great musical classics like “Flight of the Bumblebee” and “William Tell Overture.”
After the show there will be a special Q & A session with Mr. Kamin and conductor Ron Spigelman. Children will also enjoy trying out the instruments themselves in an “instrument petting zoo,” under the guidance of Tulsa Symphony musicians.
Help the zookeeper find Elmer the Elephant and discover classical music in The Lost Elephant!
Tickets are $10 each ($9 for Tulsa Zoo, Tulsa Symphony, and Discovery Lab Members.) Children 3 and under may sit on a lap for free.
