Dean & Jaime Delfosse

Dean & Jaime met in college and have been married for over 24 years. They have 5 children that keep them busy- one of whom just graduated from homeschool and is enrolled at UNL. They have been homeschooling since 2009 and have been involved at the Link since 2014. Dean holds two degrees in theology and serves as a pastor at Country Bible Church in Bennet.

Jaime is from Tallahassee, Florida.  She holds a degree in theology and attended Southern Seminary until the birth of their first child, so she loves teaching Bible, Theology, and Ethics. She also gets excited about teaching grammar (delightfully nerdy!) and learning to be a better reader in her local literary society.

Dean and Jaime have made Lincoln their home for the past seven years are honored to serve on the board of the Lancaster Learning Link.

Matthew & Carla Harvey

Matthew and Carla live on a farm outside of Beatrice where they are homeschooling three of their four children.  Their oldest child graduated from Harvey Academy in May of 2020 and will be attending UNL in the fall.  Their kids have attended the Link since 2015, and Carla teaches English 2 and English 3. Matthew is a farmer and a lineman for Norris Public Power. Carla hosts book clubs, bakes cinnamon rolls, and deeply enjoys her home life.

Lee & Jenny Jo Johnson

Lee and Jenny Jo met at Wofford College in Spartanbug, SC. They have been married since 1999 and have been blessed with five children whom they are homeschooling.

Jenny Jo grew up in South Carolina, about an hour inland from Myrtle Beach. In college she double-majored in history and computer science, later working at Michelin North America in the IT department.  The younger children have participated in a local Charlotte Mason homeschool group where they've enjoyed getting outside in all kinds of weather and learning about God’s wondrous creation. As a consequence of that, Jenny Jo has recently taken up birding and has observed 254 bird species in Lancaster County thus far. Her other interests include reading, sewing, photography, playing board games, and making springerle cookie molds.  

The Johnsons first became involved with the Link when Lee was invited to teach history. They now have several kids who attend classes at the Link and are so appreciative of the value the organization provides to the homeschooling community.

Jeanette Sorensen

Jeanette is originally from Charleston, SC. She and her husband, Shawn, have been married for 14 years and have two children, Logan and CJ. In 2017, after Shawn retired from the Navy, they moved to Lincoln to be near Jeanette's parents, sister, husband, two nieces and two nephews.

Jeanette has taught secondary math in public-school systems in 4 different states: California, South Carolina, Oregon, and here in Lincoln, NE. Jeanette has had the privilege to teach various levels of Algebra 1, one semester of Geometry, and three years of Algebra 2. She received her Master Degree in Education from National University in Oxnard, CA, in 2011 and her BS in Business and Accounting from Brenau University in Kings Bay, GA, in 1994.

In her free time, she enjoys crafting, quilting, reading, riding bikes, camping, and spending time with her family. She is very excited for the opportunity to teach at the Link and to explore this new chapter in life. She looks forward to working with and meeting each one of you.
