An opportunity for your students to demonstrate their projects & talents, for family & friends as we close out our year! It takes a lot for this event to happen. All families participating in Showcase are requested to volunteer to help out on event day. Please be sure to choose a task since many hands make light work.
Displays provide a way for students to present their interests and studies in a variety of different categories. Talent presentations allow participants to perform in front of a live audience. Groups and Co-op Classes are encouraged to participate.
1. Baking and Cooking: All families are asked to bring an appetizer, snack or dessert to share. We kindly request items that are easy to serve. We recommend that the children take an active part in helping to prepare this treat! Please sign up for what you would like to bring to share. Water and lemonade will be provided.
2. Entertainment: Individual students or groups of students may be signed up to present. Their presentation piece must be limited to three minutes in length, although exceptions may be made for large groups of students presenting together. All who sign up by the deadline WILL be able to participate. Detailed signups are necessary to assure preparation and so that we may determine placement in the program. When you sign-up you must list the name of your piece, length of time, and names of students participating. Click the link at the bottom of this page to sign up.
Time Guidelines: Individual performances approximately 3 minutes, 2-4 students approximately 5 minutes. Classes or large ensembles, 8-10 minutes.
3. Arts & Crafts Display: Students may display a piece of art or a craft they have created. Placards with the student's name and age should be placed next to their display. Classes may also sign up to display projects completed during the year.
