Q:

How do I become a member of Greensboro Christian Co-op?

A:

Becoming a member is simple!  Please request membership in our group.  An administrator will contact you by email to let you know if there will be open enrollment.  No application is complete until you attend the New Member Orientation.

What is a session?

A:

We have divided our co-op year into 4 sessions.  Each session will have 6 weeks of instrucion and 1 week set aside for an optional field trip.  Please see Session Schedule for dates.

Q:

How much does it cost to join GCC?

A:

GCC has an annual membership fee of $50 per family.

What is your Inclement Weather Policy?

A:

For snow days, we will conduct our co-op closing independent of the Board of Education in Caroline County.  Keep in mind that delayed openings are not applicable to us due to our start time of 12:00 pm.  Please use good judgement!

We will send out an email in the event we close.

Do you have a sick policy?

A:

Yes!  Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.  Luke 6:31

If a parent or child is exhibiting flu like symptoms, please stay home.  Flu like symptoms include fever, headache, chills, muscle aches, extreme tiredness, dry cough, runny nose, stomach symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.  If a parent or child has had a fever or stomach virus, please stay home until those stympoms are gone for 24 hours.  In case of illness, please contact the Director.

Q:

Do I have to sign up for all 4 periods?

A:

Yes.  You will need to sign up for all 4 class periods offered during the co-op day.

Q:

I am a teacher but can not make it to co-op, what should I do?

A:

Please contact one of the helpers in your class to see if they can teach during that period.  If so, please supply them with a lesson plan.  Contact Stacie Johnson to make her aware of the changes.  If someone in the class can not take over the teaching position, please contact Stacie Johnson so she can find a substitute.
