TEACH Sick Policy
TEACH EVENTS & JC Co-op Sick Policy:
Sickness – Our usual request regarding sickness is that you or your family members do not attend if you have had a fever or vomiting in the past 24 hours or if you are not feeling well. This year our area has a widespread outbreak of the flu so we are going to ask that ALL families follow the CDC guidelines as follows:
"People infected with flu may be able to infect others beginning 1 day before symptoms develop and up to 5-7 days after becoming sick. That means you may be able to spread the flu to someone else before you know you are sick as well as while you are sick. Young children, those who are severely ill, and those who have severely weakened immune systems may be able to infect others for longer than 5-7 days.”
NOTE: If you or anyone in your family has had or has the flu, then no one in your family should attend co-op for 7 to 10 days after the last person with the flu showed initial onset, even those families with flu shots.
