FAQs

Q:

What does H.O.M.E. stand for?

A:

Homeschoolers Offering Music Education.  This was the full name of the program in the beginning. The name has changed over the years and was incorporated with the name HOME Of Fine Arts Connection, Inc. to reflect our program growth into all areas of Fine Arts.

We feel there is No Place like HOME!

Q:

Where is the HOME of Fine Arts Connection located?

A:

We meet at First Baptist Church in Morrow.  The church is located at 1647 Lake Harbin Rd, Morrow, GA 30260.

Q:

What day and time do HOME of Fine Arts classes meet?

A:

We meet on Thursdays beginning the first week of August through the last week of April.  The first week of August is when parents attend a Mandatory Parents meeting prior to the beginning of the school year.

Q:

Who can attend HOME of Fine Arts classes?

A:

The HOME of Fine Arts Connection was started to serve the homeschool community and to give home educated students an opportunity to learn and excel in the fine arts.  All students who are learning at home with their parents or guardian as their primary educator are welcome to attend.  We define a home educated student by those students who are enrolled with the Georgia Department of Education as Home Study Programs and file a Declaration of Intent with the DOE.

Our preschool classes are reserved for those preschoolers with older siblings who are homeschooling and registered with the HOME of Fine Arts program. There are many opportunities for preschoolers to attend community and church programs specifically for their age.

Q:

What are the hours for the HOME of Fine Arts Connection?

A:

For the 2023-2024 program year, we will be running classes from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m..  You may pick and chose the classes and times that work best for your family.

Q:

How many classes are we allowed to take?

A:

Your children can register for classes based upon availability.  There is no minimum or maximum amount of classes required.

Q:

We will be new to HOME this year, why do we have to wait to register?

A:

We give our current year's HOME students the opportunity to register prior to open registration for new families.  This is to give them the opportunity to take a class that perhaps they were not able to attend the previous year.   If you see a class that you would like to take but is full, please put your child on the waiting list.  Changes are made all through the summer and there is a good chance you may still get into that class.

Q:

When will I gain access to the website and get to see the "good stuff"?

A:

Once you are a fully registered family, you will be given online access to the website.  In order to be registered, you need to request membership online, pay your registration fee and be accepted by the HOME of Fine Arts program.  You will receive notification once your registration has been approved and will gain access to the member online website.  You may pay registration fees by sending a PayPal payment to homeoffinearts@gmail.com or sending check or money order to HOME, P.O. Box 3084, McDonough, GA 30253.  Make checks payable to HOME.

Q:

Do you take credit cards?

A:

Because of the fees associated with credit cards, we do not take them.  All tuition payments must be paid by check or cash.  However, since we are only open on Thursdays during the school year, we do take registration fees through PayPal in order for families to be able to register during open enrollment.  Our email for PayPal is homeoffinearts@gmail.com
