WELCOME TO CFS RB!
Considering homeschooling? Just started recently, or graduated one or two already? No matter where you are on this journey, we'd love to support and encourage you on this exciting and challenging call for your family. Homeschooling is not an easy task, but we're in it for the long haul, believing that the hearts, minds, and souls of our children are worth investing in and fighting for.
If you're still considering whether or not to homeschool, we're here to help you and answer any questions you may have about this vitally important decision regarding your children's education and discipleship. We believe that as you prayerfully consider homeschooling, you'll find (as we have) that it is one of the most rewarding and spiritually enriching investments you could ever make for your family and for the Kingdom.
You are welcome to visit us at one of our Family Fellowships, held on the second weekend of each month from September to May. It's a great opportunity to fellowship with other families and find out more about our group.
CFS RB offers various activities for families throughout the year. Join us as we extend grace, encouragement, and support to one another as we disciple our children through homeschooling. Click on the "Calendar" link to view events open to non-members (most events are not viewable because they are for members only). You can become a member by clicking on "Request Membership."
The vision of CFS RB is to encourage and equip Christian families in their God-given responsibilities to educate their children with a Biblical worldview for the glory of God. We exist to provide fellowship, encouragement, and resources to privately homeschooling Christian famlies with a special emphasis on encouraging fathers to lead their families, mentoring youth as they prepare for adulthood, and having families fellowship together.
INTRO TO HOMESCHOOLING
If you are thinking about or new to homeschooling, this is a meeting for you. Join us as homeschool mom, Janelle Knutson, shares an overview of the different ways to homeschool in CA. She will go over basic "getting started" tips, and address top concerns and questions people have with homeschooling. Janelle Knutson, mother of six, has been homeschooling for 11 years. She has written articles for the California Parent Educator magazine, The Old Schoolhouse magazine and different homeschool group newsletters. She has spoken at MOPS groups and various homeschool events including the CFS Homeschool Expo. You can find her blogging at www.JanelleKnutson.com.
