Valley of the Sun Homeschool Cooperative is committed to the health and well-being of our members and the community at large. As of August 2020, our co-op is not scheduling any in-person classes or events, and we are not accepting new applications for membership. We will post updates to our website and Facebook page as more information is available to us. Please check back regularly, or email us for more information.
The Valley of the Sun Homeschool Cooperative is a secular, inclusive group of homeschooling families who come together for the purpose of enriching our children’s educations. Our parent-teachers lead classes that are based on their skills, interests, and backgrounds, providing our children with unique opportunities for learning and growth. Fundamental to our beliefs is the notion that our homeschooling community benefits from, and is enriched by, the diversity of our membership, and we seek to create a welcoming atmosphere for all who wish to attend.
Our classes are held every Wednesdays in Tempe, Arizona during two twelve-week semesters, running from approximately September-November (fall semester) and February-April (spring semester). We offer 5-6 classes each hour in order to accommodate students of different ages and interests. We offer a diverse and balanced schedule that will provide students opportunities in all subject areas.
Membership dues are $125 per semester, which covers the cost of facility rental, liability insurance, and website hosting. Valley of the Sun Homeschool Cooperative is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Our organization is a cooperative, and we depend on the active involvement of all members to make our classes and other activities possible. All members are expected to volunteer their time to keep the cooperative running smoothly. Parents must remain on campus with their children (no drop-offs).
We welcome your inquiries and invite you to email us to learn more about the Cooperative.
Thank you, and happy homeschooling!
