About Us:

Southeast Christian Homeschool Community has been meeting since 2009; we started out as First Class Happy Valley. We were a part of Heidi St. John's, the Busy Homeschool Mom, First Class Firmly Planted Ministry, to support and encourage local homeschooling families. We changed our name to Southeast Christian Homeschool Community (SCHC) as we grew and changed locations. We are a community of Christians coming together to help educate, encourage and support each other. Our leadership team works to coordinate opportunities for all members to be involved. SCHC is a place where you and your children can learn and socialize with other homeschooling families - making friends and getting connected!

We do our best to keep co-op affordable. Parents teaching classes helps keep this possible. As a co-op member, you are expected to take part in helping, teaching, and running the organization.  Your first term with us, you will help in classes and build relationships with other parents and families. During your second term, you prepare a class and become a teacher. During your third term (or sooner if you feel ready), we ask that you take on a coordinator roll to help co-op run smoothly behind the scenes.

Encouraging
Wherever you may be in your homeschool journey, it's nice to know that others are going the same direction.

Educating
We offer a safe environment for your family to come together and learn with other homeschooling families

Enriching
This community is a great opportunity for new experiences for you and your child. Friday School classes and field trips open up new avenues to explore.

About Our Host Church

Grace Church is a well established Baptist Church that has opened their doors to our group. While we are a nondenominational group, we will be an extension of their ministry to serve the community. We will have access to their whole property including an indoor gym, 2 kitchens, lots of classrooms, playground and large yard in a rural area just outside Molalla.
