Thank you for visiting the Bullitt County Homeschool Co-op Homepage!
We are a Christian homeschool co-op and charter of HomeForHisGlory, Inc. We meet one day per week for two 10-week semesters each school year and share in the blessing of homeschooling our children. We have 3 classes in a day, with all moms and/or dads staying to help by teaching, assisting, serving as a hall monitor, helping to clean, or by serving in the nursery/toddler/Pre-K areas. Each family is expected to do their part to help co-op run smoothly. Our classes are structured so that the first two classes of the day are typically "core classes" like science, social studies, mathematics, etc. We also offer some elective classes such as karate, Bible, arts/crafts, study habits, creative writing, literature, etc. Classes offered change each semester, so check back to see the current class schedule.
Our fall semester runs 10 - 12 weeks, from early September to mid November. We do not take a fall break, and classes end before Thanksgiving. Some of our core subject classes are titled "advanced" and will be 2 semester classes, lasting both fall and spring. Those will last 12 weeks instead of our typical 10, and will begin 2 weeks prior to our typical start date. Registration for fall classes will take place in July. Details pertaining to registration will be posted to our facebook page and emailed to anyone who has requested membership on our website.
Our spring semester runs 10 weeks as well, and 12 weeks for advanced classes; typically from mid-February through early May. Registration for spring classes will take place in January. Details about registration will be posted to our facebook page and emailed to anyone who has requested membership on our website.
We have a Back-to-School Bash in August, a Christmas Party in December, and an End-of-the-Year Party in May. Occasionally other events will take place in the school year. In the past we have had a Valentine's Party, Mom's Night, Picnics in the Park, etc. You can check our calendar page or Facebook for the most up-to-date info.
