U.S. History-Based Writing Lessons, Volume 2: Civil War Era to Present Day

Students will be writing about slavery, Civil War heroes, inventions, industrialization, the World Wars, and more.

Topics covered: Summarizing references, narrative stories, research reports, formal essays, poetry, creative writing, taking notes from lectures, preparing for essay exams, critiques of literature, literary analysis essays, super-essays (research papers), MLA documentation, vocabulary, and grammar.

Students do not need to be studying U.S. History to take this class.

Required materials:

No new materials are needed. We will continue to use the same books.  A $5 copy fee is due in addition to the first month's payment.
