Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. It is fully inspired, by the Holy Spirit,  it is without error. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.  (2 Timothy 3:15-16, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We believe that there is one God, who exists in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 1:1-5, John 1:14, John 1:32, John 12:9-17, Genesis 1:1-2)

We believe in the total depravity and lost condition of man to sin, and man’s need for a Savior. (Psalm 53:3, Matthew 19:17, Romans 3:12)

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female, and these distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Genesis 1:26-27)  We believe that God created marriage to be exclusively the union of one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:18-25)

We believe in the deity and virgin birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the only One to fulfill all of the prophesies of Messiah in the scriptures. We believe in His miracles, in His sinless life, in His atoning death on a cross for the sins of all men, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Matthew 1:22-23, Romans 3:23, 2 Peter 3:10, Isaiah 9:6-7, Luke 24:23-50, Revelation 22:20-21)

We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to dwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer of Godly living and service. (Matthew 3:11, John 16:7-13)

We believe God has called believers in Jesus Christ to unity. We believe that there are certain essentials of the faith that one must believe to be saved, however, we recognized that there will be differences of opinion in nonessential beliefs. For these, we pass no judgment on our brothers and sisters in faith, but in all our beliefs we show love. (Romans 14:13-19, 2 Corinthians 3:17, 1 Corinthians 13:2)

This statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs.  The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality and the proper conduce of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.  For purposes of NICHE's faith, doctrine, policy and discipline, our Board of Directors is NICHE's final interpretive authority on the Bible's meaning and application.
