Outdoor Family Adventures offers an environmental education program for the Mobile and Baldwin county students ages 13 to 18 years old. The students will learn and develop leadership experience in our organization while teaching environmental stewardship. Our goal is to make the students aware of their environment and how important they are in protecting what we have. They will learn the interdependent relationship that exist between people, plants and wildlife (nature).
The highschool Students are encouraged to participate in our intern training program . The Outdoor Family Adventures organization will offer many student workshops. The workshops will enable the student to lead our families on many of the adventures acting as guides and staff members. At the same time developing skills that could lead to a great hobby or career. We lay the ground work for the students to make responsible environmental choices as adults.
The students are able to attend a writing and journalism course of training, while learning leadership skills as interns promoting wildlife conservation and learning through experiential hands on environmental science studies. We bring a curriculum of 3 CORE courses together : (Estuary studies,Coastal Forests,& Fresh water studies)

You can view the work of our ambassadors as they write articles we can publish locally and the ambassadors are the contributing authors of our website blog. This blog is a large part of the journalism training the students recieve from experienced journalist from around Baldwin county. The students are encouraged to write about the events and activities they have attended during their enrollment as young leaders for our organization.
