Generations with Vision
Homeschooled himself in the 1960's and 70's, Kevin Swanson and his wife, Brenda, are now homeschooling their five children. Since graduating from his homeschool and then serving as student body president of a large west coast university, he has gone on to other leadership positions in corporate management, church, and other non-profits. Kevin has 35 years of experience in the homeschooling movement and serves as the founding director of Generations with Vision – a ministry he founded to strengthen homeschool families around the country. As a father who wants to leave a godly heritage for his own five children, Kevin’s passion is to strengthen and encourage the homeschooling movement all over the world, and to cast a vision for generations to come. For the last 7 years Kevin has hosted a daily radio program – Generations Radio – the world’s largest homeschooling and Biblical worldview radio program that reaches families across the US and in over 80 countries. Kevin also served as the Executive Director of Christian Home Educators of Colorado from 1998-2009, and still works actively with CHEC in his work with Generations with Vision. He has also authored several popular books for homeschoolers, including Upgrade-10 Secrets to the Best Education for Your Child, Second Mayflower, theFamily Bible Study Guide Series, Christian Classics Study Guide, and others. Serving as a passionate supporter of home education, he has been interviewed on hundreds of media outlets, including Dr. James’ Dobson’s Focus on the Family and the Fox News Network.
Dr. John Morris
Institute for Creation Research
Dr. John Morris, perhaps best known for leading expeditions to Mt. Ararat in search of Noah's Ark, served on the University of Oklahoma faculty before joining the Institute for Creation Research in 1984. He received his Doctorate in Geological Engineering at the University of Oklahoma in 1980. Dr. Morris held the position of Professor of Geology before being appointed President in 1996. He travels widely around the world speaking at churches, conferences, schools, and scientific meetings. Dr. Morris has written numerous books and articles on the scientific evidence that supports the Bible. Dr. Morris is the author or co-author of such books as The Young Earth, The Modern Creation Trilogy, and The Fossil Record: Unearthing Nature's History of Life.
Dianne Craft, MA, CNHP
Child Diagnostics, Inc.
Dianne Craft is a former homeschool mom who has a Master’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. She has 25 years experience teaching bright, hardworking children who have to work too hard to learn. She teaches parents across the country how to help their child learn faster and easier, using therapies and strategies that are very effective while being very inexpensive. Dianne is passionate about training parents to make learning easier for their homeschooled children. Her workshops are very informative and often entertaining. She is a Certified Natural Health Professional specializing in natural treatments for children with attention, learning, and behavioral issues. Dianne is president of the educational consulting firm, Child Diagnostics, Inc., in Littleton, Colorado.
Texas Home School Coalition
Tim Lambert, president of the Texas Home School Coalition (the state support organization), has been involved in home school leadership in Texas for almost thirty years. He and his wife Lyndsay taught their four now-grown children at home for sixteen years, graduating the last two in 2000. Tim holds a BA in political science from Texas Tech University and is active in the political arena. He is committed to serving the home school community and protecting parents' right to choose the education of their children.
Coach Rick Andreassen
Christian Homeschool Athletic Association of Texas
Coach Rick Andreassen has over 26 years experience as a Teacher, Coach, Lecturer and as a Children’s Minister. In 1997 Rick founded the Christian Homeschool Athletic Association of Florida, which currently reaches over 5,000 Homeschool Students per week throughout Florida, Texas, and Las Vegas, Nevada and has just launched it’s first out-of-the country program in Guatemala and Zambia, Africa. Coach Rick is a Psychology Major with an emphasis on Early Childhood Development, and a Certified Minister. Rick has recently been inducted into the “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers”, a national recognition to honor the most respected teachers in our country...He is the first Homeschool Educator to ever receive this award. Coach Rick was elected to carry the “Olympic Torch” in the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics to represent all the Homeschool Families throughout the United States and the world.
David and Shirley Quine
David and Shirley Quine, parents of nine children, began home schooling their children in 1980 in Richardson, Texas. At that time, Bryce, their oldest son, was five years old. To David and Shirley home schooling has given them the opportunity to disciple their children. Shirley describes this as a "chain of faith" -- connecting one generation to the next as described in Deuteronomy Chapter 6. Together they have written many popular home school curricula. It is their desire to assist parents in building their families upon the Biblical World View. To them there is no higher calling
My Father’s World
Paige Timer, the daughter of a pastor and lover of music and theater, is passionate about building relationships and strives to lead others to engage and invest in the lives of those around them. A self-titled free spirit, Paige is an encourager who loves helping parents discover tools for leading their families toward success. She and her husband, Josh, have been homeschooling their two children for the past eight years. They now work for My Father’s World, where Paige is a curriculum consultant and speaker.
Don Hart, Esq.
Don Hart is the Founder and President of Heritage Defense, a national, non-profit legal advocacy organization. He is an attorney, rancher, pastor, and homeschooling father of seven. As owner of the Law Office of Don Hart, his practice includes serving as General Counsel for Vision Forum Ministries. Don Hart holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Texas and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech Law School, where he was a member of state and national moot court teams and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Trial Advocacy. Even prior to launching Heritage Defense, a significant part of his practice has involved fighting to defend Christian, homeschooling families against usurpatious government interference.
Dr. Carol Reynolds
Dr. Carol Reynolds became interested in homeschooling during her career as a professor of Music History at Southern Methodist University. After retiring and moving to a ranch, she began designing historically rigorous fine-arts curricula for secondary students, particularly homeschoolers. In 2009, she published an unprecedented multimedia course entitled Discovering Music: 300 Years of Interaction in Western Music, Arts, History, and Culture (DVDs, audio CDs, Text). In 2011 she released Exploring America’s Musical Heritage (DVDs) which covers American arts, literature, and history from the Puritans to 1950. She is compiling a new curriculum: “History of Sacred Music from Jewish Liturgy to 1600,” which includes footage shot in the Holy Land. She consults with homeschooling families and co-ops on college preparedness and her book The Homeschooling Edge: A Professor’s View of College Prep will be released in 2012. She and her husband, Dr. Hank Reynolds, have two grown children.
Little Giant Steps
Faith has lived in the Houston area for over 30 years with her husband of 37 years. They have three fine sons, a daughter-in-aw and three grandchildren. Faith has accomplished much in her life, working in retail, owning several businesses, working in missions and teaching privately. But the most important job she ever had was to homeschool her sons for 23 years. During that time she experienced the problems that present themselves when you have a child with learning difficulties. After trying almost everything that was available to find the root cause of her son’s problems she finally discovered The Neurodevelopmental Approach. They discovered the success that is obtainable when this approach is correctly applied. It was life-changing for their sons and their family. It was then that she decided to one day join Jan Bedell at Little Giant Steps and help others find The Neurodevelopmental Approach and its life-changing abilities. She has a passion not only to assist other parents in removing the labels that have been assigned to their children, but to educate expectant and new parents on the prevention of learning problems.
National Center for Family Integrated Churches (NCFIC)
Steve Hopkins is a bureau speaker for the National Center for Family Integrated Churches. He and his wife, Sandra, have sixteen children and live on a small farm in the Texas hill country. He is a pastor, former U.S. Senate candidate and General Manager of KFGG Radio 101.9 FM in Marble Falls,Texas. His passions are family worship, open air preaching, and defense of preborn children.
Alpha Omega Institute
Dave Nutting is the Co-founder and Director of Alpha Omega Institute. He is a former evolutionist who "evolved" into a creationist after studying the scientific issues. Dave has been giving creation seminars at churches, universities, public and private schools and homeschool conferences for 30+ years, with audiences ranging from young children to groups of medical students and doctors. He holds M.S. degrees in mathematics and geology and has taught both on the high school and college level. Dave is noted for his understandable, non-abrasive, down-to-earth teaching style, and high-quality visuals that make programs easy to understand even for children. Dave & his wife, Mary Jo, are veteran home-schoolers.
Lamp & Quill
Mike, and his wife Carolyn, graduated their two children from home school and have six grandchildren. Their son is a college graduate and he and his wife have one child. Their daughter is the mother of four who are also being homeschooled. Mike and Carolyn are co-founders of Lamp & Quill International, a devotional Bible curriculum, and co-authors of The Trojan Horse in Christian Education. Their focus is based on years of service to children and their families through Sunday schools, Christian school teaching and as the church Director of Christian Education. Mike and Carolyn met while Mike was in college, and they were participating in a college discipleship ministry. Both Mike and Carolyn have focused on helping individuals grow in the Lord and teaching families how to pass on a godly inheritance to their children.
Dominion Acres / RWC Business Services
Bob Clark, CPA and homeschooling father of five, was called to leave the world of corporate finance 6 years ago in order to better disciple his family (Deut 6:7). He founded RWC Business Services, Inc., a home-based business which specializes in serving small companies. He also founded Dominion Acres (Gen 1:28), the Clark family agri-business.
See the Light Shine
James H. (Jim) Pence is a man of many talents. He is a published author, an accomplished singer and speaker, a performance chalk artist, and in his spare time he teaches karate, writing and art to homeschooled children. Jim and his wife Laurel also homeschooled their two children, Chris and Charlene. Jim has been called a Renaissance man, but he prefers to be known simply as a storyteller and follower of Jesus Christ. Also a talented chalk artist, vocalist, and speaker, Jim has shared Christ across the United States through music and art. He has appeared in venues as large as the Anaheim Convention Center and as small as a family’s living room. Jim often takes his art and music into prisons, where he is able to share the grace of Christ with an often forgotten and rejected people. Jim graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2002 with a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies with an emphasis on creative writing. He and his wife Laurel recently celebrated their thirty-first wedding anniversary. They live on six acres northeast of Dallas, Texas, and have two grown children and a granddaughter.
Susan K. Marlow
Circle C Adventures
Susan K. Marlow is a twenty-year homeschooling veteran of four and the author of the Circle C Adventures/Beginnings series, as well as Reach for the Stars!, a writing workbook for young authors. She combines her love of teaching and her passion for writing by teaching writing workshops and speaking at young author events.
Richard M. Cary
Quiet Stream Books
Richard M. Cary, D.Min., has been in full-time ministry for over 37 years (pastor, missionary). He currently pastors a growing rural church in Naselle, WA. He has written two text books for ministry training, several articles, and a number of historical-fiction books. Writing is his second calling. He is married to Linda and has two adult children, Chris and Lindsay.
Mrs. Brubaker is a state certified teacher in Pennsylvania. After 17 years of teaching students of all abilities, from learning support to gifted, she developed Applied Grammar to enable all of her 3rd grade students to master the elements of English grammar. She has developed the original concept into a grammar and writing program that can take a student from their first sentences to the end of High School.
Excellence in Writing
Chardell Novotny, an IEW Accomplished Instructor, wife of a “Gate Man” (see Prov. 31:23), mother of 7 children, a passionate home school veteran of 26 years. Eleven years ago, she discovered the desperate need for “backup” as she navigated the realm of writing woes, reluctant writers and the wide range of improvisational writing styles. It became apparent that crossing this minefield successfully was next to impossible until she discovered the Institute for Excellence in Writing. As an Education major, Chardell became one of IEW’s biggest fans when she witnessed first-hand the captivating and masterful way that Andrew Pudewa teaches the complexity of writing and makes it simple. Even though she has 5 graduates, she has great job security with 3 children still learning at home. She is also busy writing and teaching these concepts through workshops and classes, and she enjoys guiding families through a program that truly works!
Right Start Math
Debbie and her husband Chris have been married for 21 years and have been blessed with six children. In 1993, led by the Lord, she started the journey of educating her children at home; three have since graduated. Her children present a wide range of talent and challenge which has kept Debbie "on her knees" seeking the best ways to help them. Despite the challenges she still believes educating your child at home one of the best and hardest decisions a parent will make. So she does what she can to come alongside parents to encourage and empower them to do the best job possible. Her oldest daughter is now married and has blessed her with three grand babies. Debbie is looking forward to helping home educate the next generation.
Matthew Townsend is an Admissions Coordinator at Criswell College, a Master of Divinity Student, and a Youth Minister. He has been married to Rachel Ruhamah Townsend for one year. They are planning to graduate from Criswell College in December of 2012. Matthew completed his undergraduate degree in Agricultural Education at Texas Tech University. Upon graduation from Criswell College, Matthew and Rachel plan on having children and home schooling.

Debra shares her passion for health and wellness in God's healing and restoring power of natural herbs, essential oils and nutrition through seminars, lectures, conference calls, magazine articles and personal consultations. Her vast knowledge, experience and Godly anointing has allowed her the privilege to help countless people with both minor and life threatening health problems by educating them in healthy nutrition practices and lifestyle to cleanse and promote the body to heal itself. Debra is a popular speaker at Expo's, Trade Shows, Church and Civic Groups, Midwife and Home School Conferences speaking on herbal first aid, God's herbs and essential oils as natural alternatives, nutrition, ADD/ADHD, Brain Power, whole grain cooking, women's and family health and more. Her company, Sharing Great Health, Inc., is nestled in the beautiful Sam Houston National Forest, making it a perfect setting for herb walks and workshops. Debra and her family have relied on God's marvelous herbs to restore their own health.
Christina McDonald is celebrating her silver anniversary as a homeschooling mother of 5 children. She has been using Math-U-See since 1993. “The essence of mathematics is not to make simple things complicated, but to make complicated things simple.” ~S. Gudder Christina enjoys helping others see how teaching with Math-U-See makes complicated things simple.
Gospel for Asia
Mary Pate is a member of San Marcos Community Church in Texas. She enjoys serving in her church in the Children's Ministry and also by leading a weekly adult Bible study group. She is a widow with five wonderful children who help to keep her humble and active. She also enjoys serving God as a volunteer for Gospel for Asia to help reach the lost who do not know Jesus. She loves to hear and share with others how God is working in the lives of those around the world and the many miracles God is still performing to this day in reaching the unreached with His Gospel.
