FEAST High School Track Results
Ranger Relays at Smithson Valley High School on March 25, 2011--Varsity Men and Women placed 7th. JV Men and Women placed 6th. There were 7 teams competing. This meet was a higher level competition meet, as it typically has been in past years. When facing higher competition the runners are challenged to be well-prepared mentally for their race, along with being properly warmed-up. An attitude of focus is extremely important as the runners compete against teams with a lot of talent and speed.
Jesuit-Sheaner Relays at Jesuit High School in Dallas, Texas on March 26, 2011--This meet has been around since 1964. Most of the top Texas girls competed in the 1600. Senior Emily Dunn won the race with a personal best time of 4:57.96 (gaining her a ranking of 2nd in Texas) and twin sister Janessa Dunn placed 3rd with another personal best time of 5:00.45. (this gives her the #4 ranking in Texas). To watch this incredibly exciting and suspenseful race visit the Flotrack website.
Ro-Hawk Relays at Randolph High School on April 2, 2011--Varsity Men were 5th/19 teams and JV Men 2nd/21 teams. Varsity Women were 2nd/17 teams and JV Women tied for the meet championship out of 17 teams with La Vernia. It was a very large meet with over 1300 runners from 74 teams. Head Coach David Dunn called it a very good meet for all 4 teams, especially the JV Women tying for first place. "We competed well as a team and eliminated a lot of our mental errors," said Dunn.
Blanco Dual Meet on April 6, 2011– This meet was a dual meet between FEAST and Blanco High School.  The purpose was to get one final meet in before going to the Texas Home School State Meet.
Texas Relays at the University of Texas  on April 8-9, 2011 -  This year FEAST qualified an amazing 17 athletes for the Texas Relays.  Individual performances were highlighted by Emily Dunn’s 2nd place finish in the 1600 meters.  Also placing were Janessa Dunn’s 7th place finish in the 3200 meters and Gabrielle Estrada’s 12th place finish in the discus.
FEAST Middle School Track Results
Bandera Middle School Relays at Bandera High School on March 25, 2011--Middle School Coach Waschek called this meet another good performance by FEAST with several runners getting personal best times. NOT SURE THE PLACES OF BOYS OR GIRLS The Middle School team is learning to work hard and set a good foundation for future years of running together in high school.
San Antonio Christian School Middle School Meet at SACS on April 5, 2011--7/8 grade boys placed 4th/18 teams and 7/8 grade girls were 2nd/17 teams. 5/6 grade boys placed 11th/15 teams and 5/6 grade girls were 2nd/14 teams. Coach Waschek described the runners performances overall as extremely good.
