“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”  Psalm 133:1

Middle School and High School
Tennis Tryouts
Monday, January 27, at 2pm
McFarland Tennis Center

Are you ready to practice and improve your tennis skills? Are you ready to play against others and be part of a hard working tennis team?  You have a great opportunity by joining the FEAST Patriots Tennis Team!

Hi!  My name is Sue Berry, and I have been the Tennis Commissioner for the past three years.  I have seven children who play tennis year round and some competitively.  The FEAST tennis team has added that extra benefit of playing with a team.  Although tennis is mainly an individual sport, we have enjoyed encouraging our other teammates during practice and on the sidelines as we work and play together against other small private and public schools in the area.

A Kick-off meeting will be held on Thursday January 16th from 7-8pm in Burwood Hall at FEAST for those interested in joining the team. Information about the team, cost, etc. will be available at this meeting. Final registration fees will be determined after tryouts and based on the total number of participants.

Tennis tryouts will be held Monday, January 27 at McFarland Tennis Center at 2pm. The cost for try-outs is $15. Click here to register (you must be a FEAST subscriber to register). Payment for the season will not be expected until after tryouts. The tryouts will include middle school and high school age groups. The purpose of tryouts is to determine the student’s skill level and fit for the team.  We are looking for students with previous tennis experience and an attitude to learn and improve.  Private lessons are available but not part of the program. Practice will involve improving your tennis skills and match play (singles and doubles).

Our proposed schedule will be to practice Monday afternoons 2:00-3:30 at McFarland Tennis Center from February 3-April 14. Match play begins the week of February 11. Most match play has been scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30pm at various schools around San Antonio. The season will run through mid-April with a tournament for middle school and high school.

We are thankful to have Murillo Competitive Advantage trainers to help us again with skill and tournament training.
