Open House

Event Description:

On February 18, 2013, the Student Government along with the staff of the Upstate Homeschool Co-op will be hosting an Open House.  If you are considering registering with us for next school year, 2013-14, please make plans to attend a class (or classes) offered to students in the 6th - 12th grade.

Our staff and Student Government students will be on hand to answer your questions.  Please know that the Open House is to allow you to observe and better understand how the Upstate Homeschool Co-op operates.

  Due to time constraints we will not be able to discuss “how to” homeschool.  

 

Elementary Program:                                                       

 If interested in our elementary program, you may register for a tour:  10 am, 11am, or 1:15pm.               

 If you plan on attending middle or high school classes you need to register for the 1:15 tour.  

We ask that you make arrangements for your elementary students and their siblings while you attend open house.  They will NOT be able to join the tour.  During the tour, classes will be in session and we cannot accommodate them on the tour or in the classroom. 

Middle/High School 6th - 12th grade:                     

Students in grades 6th -12th may attend a class(or classes) or shadow a student government representative.  Parents are also invited to visit classes. 

Please arrive 20 minutes before classes start.

Please know that the schedule for next year is based on the number of students taking the class.  Classes offered next year are subject to change.                                  

Parents, please remain on campus while your student is observing classes.                      

Lunch will be 12:30 - 1:10.  Parents and high school students are invited to bring your lunch and join us in the fellowship hall for Q & A with administrators.  Middle school students may bring their lunch and eat with the middle school students in the gym.

 

Parking and Registration:

See Traffic Pattern map that is attached as an event file at the bottom of the page for parking instructions.  We are guests on the property of Taylors First Baptist, and we must adhere to strict traffic patterns for parking and drop off times.  Please follow the signs in the parking lot and enter the building near the traffic circle for middle or high classes and the Kid’s Path end for elementary classes.  

 

Thank you for your interest in our program as we strive to come along-side parents in their journey of educating their children. Registration for nonmembers will be April 24, 2013.
