S.H.A.R.E Valentine Party
When: Friday, February 12, 2016
Time: 1:00-4:00 and here's the detailed schedule:
1:00-1:30 Craft Time! When you get there, place your fun, artistically made Valentine mailboxes on the table but do not add your valentines yet! We want to wait till all boxes are gathered so that everyone gets valentines!
Note on boxes: This is a great time to log art hours! Some kids go all out and make elaborately themed boxes. Do whatever you have the time and talent to do!
Craft Time! Kids will be creating a cool scratch it Valentine heart—each one will be unique!
1:30-2:00 Entertainment Time! Performance by ventriloquist Mike Coleman and his friend,Hank. These guys are wild n’ crazy—you won’t want to miss them!
2:00 – 2:15 – The Valentine Box Parade! Grab your Valentine Mailbox and we will have our annual Valentine Box Parade - those who made boxes will parade around the room to show them off! Feel free to be as creative as you like in the making of your boxes…we love to see them!
2:15-2:30 – Delivery Time! Children will deliver their valentines to friends and put the rest in favorite boxes (Moms, we usually have about 50-60 kids in attendance. They always have friends that they have special valentines for, but for the remainder they can just put their name on them and they can deliver them to random boxes.) Bring as many as you want. Even if you do not know anyone else, please come and make some new friends!
On your valentines just write TO: YOU and From: Your Name.
2:30- 4:00 Valentine Bingo & Snack Time for all. Please bring a bingo prize to put on our Bingo Prize Table. Any kind of item will work if you think a kid will like it—no limit on price, but please pay a minimum of $1.00 for your prize. We will play as many games of bingo as we can...until everyone wins a prize! Bingo markers (candy hearts to eat later) will be provided.
As each child wins a prize, they can put their Bingo card away and head for the Treat Table! Please bring a Valentine snack (sweet or salty) to share with the whole group...SHARE will provide beverages.
Price: $3 per child. You can pay at the door. ($9.00 Family Cap)
