Ryan “the Bugman” Bridge has been involved with the study of insects for over 40 years. He has been presenting insect education programs for groups of all ages and says “everyone loves insects… they just don’t know it yet!” Ryan will join us at the Clubhouse to present “Mother Nature’s Night Life.”

What do insects do at night? How do they see in the dark? The ultra-violet world, in which insects live, has always intrigued Ryan and he’ll detail anatomy and life-cycle, while keeping the main focus on nocturnal insects. During the indoor segment of the program, Ryan will present information about nocturnal bugs. You’ll have the opportunity to hold some of the largest LIVE bugs in the world! Next, we’ll go outside where Light Stations will be set-up to attract insects. The audience will venture into the darkness to see just what is… flying, crawling and hopping around at night.

This program is recommended for ages 8 and older. Please wear appropriate outdoor footwear and bring a flashlight or headlamp.

This program is FREE and open to the public and is sponsored by the Sweet Arrow Lake Conservation Association.
