Give a Cheer for the New School Year!!
We invite you to join our Back to School Kick-Off event, we will meet and greet and share Informational Tables filled with flyers (info) on services and activities some of our local parents already use and enjoy. We will have raffles, details on upcoming PEC events, field trips and event sign-ups, among others.
Come prepared with CASH or CHECK to sign-up for PEC Events and field trips. You can also check-out books with our PEC-Librarian and be part of our Blessing Table.
Don't forget to bring your TEENs as we have an awesome year filled with tons of activities for them! We will start with a Raffle and a Meet & Greet just for the TEENs!
Come ready to receive and participate as we look forward to an exciting new year!
PARK MEETING COVID-19 GUIDELINES
- Pavilion:
The pavilion is open but large groups (of more than 10) cannot gather in it. As previously planned, we will have Informational Tables inside the pavilion with all sorts of information on PEC Events, Park Events, Services available for us, prizes, year calendar, etc. We ask that you BRING CHAIRS OR BLANKETS to sit on the “Open Space” around the pavilion, we are blessed that our park has lots of shade and big trees, so find a comfortable spot and bring a picnic! We will leave the pavilion for the PEC Library and Informational Tables. We ask that you all take turns coming in and out of the pavilion to enjoy everything that we have planned for this year! We will be hosting a Wellington Library Sale so brings some cash and save on some good resources!
- Mask & Social distancing:
We ask that you WEAR A MASK during our meeting, as we will be gathering in a public area and need to abide by the County rules. We respect and value our freedom but ask that we be an example of God’s grace and love to others. Social distancing is especially important so please set your picnic/seating spot at least 6 feet away from each other as to not alarm the Park Rangers! Our Wellington Group has been meeting at the Pierson Park for years and we want to keep a good relationship with the Village of Wellington.
- Playground & Facilities:
As you all most know, the playground area remains closed as up today. The trails, volleyball court, basketball court and restrooms are open, so bring a ball, a Twister board game, or play some tag, there’s room for all! We ask that you be respectful of Palm Beach County guidelines and KEEP THE KIDS OFF THE PLAYGROUND AND SWINGS. These guidelines will not last forever, but for now we must make do.
