We hope and pray that your home school year has been progressing well.
If you are like most people, the anticipation and enthusiasm of September can seem a distant memory as we come to the midway point of the school year! Right after Christmas and New Years, reality sets in: we have only reached half way! It is at this moment in time you might be tempted to ask yourself "why are we doing this?" and consider dropping out on educating your children at home.
It is for this real and common temptation that we at NRVCHE have put together a mid-year "encouragement mini-conference". I would like to invite all of you to save these dates in January:
Friday January 25th 7:00-9:00pm
Saturday January 26th 9:00-12:00pm
This mini conference will be held at Blacksburg Christian Fellowship. We'll be bringing in Vicki Bentley of the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA). Here's her personal info:
She will be speaking on Friday evening and will be leading us in more focused, personal reflection and interaction on Saturday morning. I'll be passing along more information and topics over the next couple of weeks.
We will need to charge a small fee to help cover costs. For members of NRVCHE, only $5 per family for the entire weekend. For all others, $8. Sorry, there will not be childcare provided.
Would you do something for us? If this is exactly what you need and you and your spouse want to come, would you please let us know by filling out a quick survey by clicking on the link below? Thank you in advance!
