specializes in books and materials for education, edification, and enjoyment. We always use the Oxford comma. We carry over 25,000 carefully-selected new and used products. These include homeschool materials, school curriculum, quality literature, and Christian books and media.
We’ve been in business Since 1994 (starting with two bookcases of books), and have grown to serve tens of thousands of children thanks to the thousands of homeschool families and many schools that depend on us for advice, great prices, and fast and thoughtful service.
Our mission is to provide quality materials that help parents and schools educate the children in their care, and in the love and knowledge of God.
The exodusbooks.com website offers a wealth of information about the products we carry, including hundreds of in-house reviews, product descriptions, and samples. The purpose of the site is to help you in your work of educating the children in your care by making the site a valuable resource through many external links, author biographies, and descriptive topic headings.
Meet the Exodus Staff
Eli Evans – Owner, consultant
Eli is the oldest of seven children. He attended a combination of private school and homeschooling since 2nd grade, and has always been grateful for his parents’ decision to educate him in this way. Eli has worked at Exodus since 1998 when he took it over from the founders of Exodus. Eli is an expert in homeschooling and homeschool curriculum, and serves as the main book buyer for Exodus. Eli also serves the Exodus community through extensive coaching of families, helping them to design and customize their curriculums and school plans. Eli is the father of 5 children and they live in Mulino, Oregon.
Emily Wright – Book buyer, website artist
Emily fell in love with words when she was very young. An avid bibliophile, her collection contains over 400 books (and counting)! She can usually be found with a cup of coffee and her nose in a book (even at work!). At Exodus, she fills several roles, the main one being our used book buyer, but she also does all the graphics for the website, handles much of the customer service, and does other behind the scenes things that keep the store operating!
NOW Located in Oregon City
Hours: Tuesday through Friday, 10am to 5pm PST. Saturday, 10am to 4pm PST.

First Class Clackamas Teens branched off of First Class Happy Valley Co-Op to purposefully serve homeschool teens in 2011.
As the FC Happy Valley Co-Op grew with children of all ages we saw a drop-off of teens and their isolation from other homeschool peers. First Class Clackamas Teens is an academic community just for homeschool teens. We offer classes on Mondays for 16 weeks per two term including; a student-led chapel, with monthly events and field trips. This program was birthed from seeing the need for teens to gain more academic instruction and social interaction with like peers in a program designed just for them while still being homeschooled.
We have identified three core principles that guide our program:
- Affordable - we strive to provide homeschool families the opportunity to participate in a full day of classes, 16 weeks per term, for minimal class fees.
- Christ-Centered - as a whole program and within each class we teach with a Christ-centered, Biblical worldview.
- Partners with Parents - In most classes we assist homeschool parents with a jumpstart and structure to their teen's weekly assignments.

FCCT Leadership Leadership Team
My name is Matthew Morris and I am the associate pastor at Hillside Christian Fellowship, and the campus pastor of HCF Damascus. I’ve been in full-time ministry for almost a decade and have a passion for teaching God‘s word.
My goal is to instill a biblical literacy amongst the church and to teach proper understanding of scripture with in its original context. I see this being fulfilled by spending much time teaching biblical history and early church theology.
My undergrad thesis was titled: Paleo-Orthodoxy and Porto-Gnostism: A defense of Biblical Christianity in the first two centuries AD. I have a bachelors degree in ancient Roman history from Portland State University, in college I was studying to become a history teacher, those plans changed however when the Lord called me into full time ministry.
In my free time I love spending time with my wife Mariah Leanne, I am addicted to disc golfing, hiking, camping, drawing and studying history.
