About Meadow Ridge Academy

Meadow Ridge Academy offers two different options to help you get a custom-fit education for your children.  1. The most popular option is a hybrid learning format where students meet four mornings a week and then do their math and language arts at home in the afternoons with teacher and parent support;  2. I also have a full-time four days each week option with math and language arts at MRA.

At Meadow Ridge Academy we teach from a Judeo-Christian Classical education viewpoint using the Principle Approach. We teach 5th through 8th grades.  We have seen with willing students, academic growth of one to three years in just one semester in their language arts.  In math they have regained confidence and moved forward independently.  I also provide homeschool curriculum advising.

Can Public Schools Be Saved?
Carole Hornsby Haynes

Many feel that whoever funds the child's education, chooses what the child learns.  As long as the government funds (through your tax dollars) your child's education, they will make choices on what your child learns that are friendly to the governments values for your child rather than the family values you have for raising your child.

The School Choice Trap - Video
James Lindsey

As an owner of a private micro-school I can say that I love to have the freedom to help my students academically soar and to support their families' values rather than try to replace them. I know that I can't take any "follow-the-child government money" or "school-choice money" without losing this freedom. That is not a trade-off I want to make.  Freedom isn't easy, it takes work and sacrifice. As Thomas Sowell said "There are no solutions, there are only trade-offs."

Yes, Utah Public Schools Have Pornography In Their Libraries
Natalie Cline

Many parents have worked tirelessly to help raise awareness about government funded public and charter schools having pornography in their libraries, classroom books, and school on-line access.  Part of why I started Meadow Ridge Academy was to give students a place free from the valueless government schools' SEL and CSE programs. You can also check out Natalie Cline's history of her work on the issue at https://academicintegritymovement.org/the-battle-that-shouldnt-be-in-utah-of-all-places/.
