Welcome to GCCHEA!!


GCCHEA, a Christian homeschool group, is one of the largest homeschool groups in the area. Our coverage area includes Okaloosa, Santa Rosa and Walton Counties, as well as military families living on the local military bases of Eglin, Hulbert, and Duke Field.
GCCHEA is run by member volunteers. In order to facilitate a close-knit community of homeschoolers over such a large area, we have families grouped together by location and/or by similar interests, and leaders who coordinate events in the local areas. Members are always welcome to join multiple groups!
One major advantage to joining GCCHEA is that we have an AMAZING forum in which members are able to connect with other members, as well as learn about the upcoming events. Our forum is easy to customize so that members can select to be notified of only those events that interest them. Since GCCHEA is so well known in the community, we are often sent information by vendors, as well news of upcoming contests, such as writing and poetry contests. We are a clearing house of local and regional homeschool information information.
GCCHEA, is a very active group and usually hosts a few Big Events per year, put on by the Steering Committee, as well as various other local group activities throughout the year. Field Trips are a regular activity, but there are many other events as well. We usually have something for everyone! (And, if you don't find your event listed, contact the Steering Committee. We are always open to considering new ideas!)

Our dues are $20 / year.
Effective immediately, the GCCHEA membership year begins June 1st and ends May 31st.
