FAQs

What is TAG Homeschool Group?

TAG is a nursery - high school co-op made up of Christian homeschooling families who have come together to enrich our children with faith-based group classes.  We meet on Fridays, with exceptions around the holidays throughout the calendar school year.  TAG begins in September and ends at the beginning of May.  It is a co-op & parents are expected to share in the duties of running the co-op.

Are you accepting new students?

PreK - 8th grade is now full for 2023-24.  We had over 50 families on the waitlist for this year and apologize to the many, many families we did not have room for.

Please contact TAG (taghomeschool@yahoo.com) if you would like to be placed on the Pre-K - 8th grade wait list for the 2024-25 year. The average time length spent on the wait-list is 2-3 years.

Please understand that availability is based upon current families and children.

Are there additional activities available at TAG?

Yes!

TAG has a Christmas party, mini-Valentines party and a year-end summer kickoff day.  We have fun theme days (food drive, PJ, crazy hair) sprinkled throughout our calendar.  During the year students and parents also work on a yearbook; then put together by a yearbook coordinator and professionally printed.  We also have a graduation ceremony for homeschool seniors.

There are many field trip opportunities to participate in as well; however, these are optional activities for families.

TAG also coordinates park days throughout the summer.

Are parents allowed to drop their children off at TAG or is there something available for parents?

Nursery - 8th grade - No drop offs are allowed.  Because TAG is a co-op, it requires the help of parents to run the co-op.  Parents are required to sign up for different duties at the co-op such as monitoring a class, preschool teacher, nursery helper, etc.  If a parent is not helping out that day, there is a "Parent’s Time" where parents can gather to socialize with each other as well as receive announcements about upcoming activities, homeschooling information, field trips, etc.  A little later there is usually a talk facilitated by one of the parents that pertains to homeschooling.

9th - 12th grade/PSEO - All high school classes at TAG are considered “open campus” so students may be dropped off, although parents are expected to fufill a small number of campus/hall monitor hours.  Since TAG is an open campus, with students arriving and departing at different times, instructors and administrators can’t be held responsible for each student’s whereabouts.  Parents are also welcome to stay if they desire.

May I came visit the co-op?

Yes!  Actually TAG encourages it.  It gives you, the parent, an opportunity to see if TAG is a good fit for your family.  In addition, it gives the administrator a chance to know your family as well and help you evaluate if TAG will be a good fit to your homeschool family.  For more information on visiting please see the contact email below.
