To join our group, click on "Request Membership" at the very top right side of this page. Our school year runs from July 1st to July 30th and the annual fee is $35. The annual membership expires each year at the end of June.

If you want to sign your student(s) up for Co-op classes then you will also need to pay a facility fee of $40 (for one child) or $75 (for 2 or more children.) This fee must be paid before you will be allowed to enroll in classes, but is waived for parents who teach a class or who help lead Co-op in a significant way. If registrations don't work out for you and you end up dropping co-op before September 15th, this fee will be refunded.  To be eligible for priority registration for co-op classes, membership fees and co-op facility fees must be received by July 28th, 2015.

Have all your children graduated? You are invited to join at the special alumni rate of $10 per year. Homeschooling families who live out of state are welcome to join as well. You will be able to participate on the forums, classifieds, and receive our monthly newsletters. The cost for this is $8 per year.

Welcome to Poway!!

We're glad you found us. You can homeschool by yourself but it's a lot more fun sharing the journey with other likeminded families.

Not sure yet whether or not to homeschool? It's not an easy task, but with God's help you can do it! Parents often find they are frustrated with their local school system not meeting the educational or unique needs of their children. Many times, their children are not being challenged. They are falling behind because they don't learn exactly the same way as everyone else, or they have a special educational disability. When you teach your children at home, you have the flexibility to develop an individualized program with the curriculum you want.

Some parents are also discouraged by the unsafe environment of their child's school, where bullying, drugs, and violence may be presnet. Other parents are simply fed up with the public school system undermining their values and actively opposing their biblical worldview. At home, parents have the freedom to share their faith and build a moral foundation for their children. Click here to see how American Homeschoolers Measure up.

Our Mission

CFS Poway’s goal is to enhance privately homeschooling families’ abilities to meet their educational goals by providing additional opportunities for students to develop academically, socially, physically and spiritually. A range of services are provided for families who do not participate in a brick & mortar school. These include a year-end Promotion and Graduation Ceremony, School Pictures, Yearbook, Spelling Bee, Field trips, Co-op Classes, and annual Stanford standardized testing.
