OCEANetwork exists to serve the Lord Jesus Christ by supporting, encouraging, protecting and advancing private Christian home education in Oregon. We are home educating families who volunteer our time to support homeschool families all over Oregon and SW Washington with workshops, conferences and written encouragement. One of our goals is to protect the rights of families to home educate without government interference. We do this by monitoring legislative and congressional actions that may jeopardize those rights. We have been "serving the needs and protecting the rights of Oregon homeschoolers since 1986."

|Clark County Home Educators
CCHE's mission is to assist parents in making an informed choice about homeschooling, facilitate community awareness of homeschooling, and to offer annual events, support, and resources to all who are homeschooling.
CCHE desires to glorify God in all that we do, promoting freedom for all homeschoolers and for Christ-centered family values.
CCHE membership is open to all interested persons in sympathy with the purpose of CCHE. This includes parents, grandparents, teachers, et cetera and is not limited to those with school age children. As an organization, CCHE is consistently and forthrightly Christian in all of its activities and publications. However, members are not required to agree with our Statement of Faith.
CCHE has a board of directors who are volunteer homeschooling parents and a membership of families throughout Clark County.
HOW CCHE CAME TO BE
In the summer of 1988, a group of seven homeschool mothers met because they felt a common need to build a support network for homeschooling families. Homeschooling was just beginning to take root. Through many hours of effort and community contact, Clark County Home Educators was formed.
As of summer, 2013, CCHE is 25 years old.

The Mahar family started Exodus in March of 1994. Starting with about two bookcases full of their own books, and a few others of things on consignment from friends, they opened up a very small shop in Oregon City (about 700sf). With patience and a lot of hard work, they were able to develop their inventory until they outgrew that space and moved Exodus across the parking lot to a larger location. During that time, they also switched from consigning used books to purchasing outright, an approach we still take. It was through their efforts that Exodus became established.
Many of our customers have encouraged us immensely by returning again and again, and by telling their friends about us. We have continued to grow every year due to their word of mouth recommendations. Exodus has grown so much, in fact, that we have had to move to a new, larger location in Milwaukie. (We now have about 4,000 square feet of floor space and our 22,000 titles fill over 150 bookcases!)

Affordable tutoring services for homeschoolers! We have noticed the disturbing trend of homeschool students returning to the public school environment during junior high and high school, mainly because of daunting math and science subjects. It is our mission to help parents keep their students in a safe, wholesome environment while still providing a high quality education for their children. We tutor small groups of homeschool students twice a week through Skype and Scribblar in the subjects of math, chemistry, and physics. We only charge $15 a week for this service! Our tutors are highly qualified (each holds a degree in either chemistry, physics, or education), and we have been tutoring and teaching since 2001. We consist of four tutors who are devoted to the idea that our children thrive in an environment that is free of the negative influences and the peer pressure that is found in a public school setting. You can read more about us and about the tutoring program at http://www.elmtutoring.com .
