This form is a request for a general membership to Metro Home Educators (MHE). The fee is $15.00 annually, and offers access to use of the secure MHE member website, field trips, classifieds, forums, and our family directory. You must be a MHE member to participate in Monday class activities. You are not required to participate in Monday classes if you are an MHE member.

Please review the MHE Statement of Faith below.

If for any reason your family feels you cannot honestly sign this statement, the MHE Board would ask that you do not request membership. We understand that not all people will agree with this statement, but MHE chooses to hold firmly to these beliefs.

MHE Statement of Faith

1) We believe the Bible, the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired and infallible Word of God. We believe it is complete. We deny any place of prominence, alongside of Scripture, to any other alleged holy books. The Bible alone reveals all we need to know for Christian faith and godliness.

2) We believe there is one God—our sovereign Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer. Yet He exists in three distinct persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—who are each God, sharing equally in divine power and glory. In Jesus Christ, God the Son has assumed a fully human nature.

3) We believe that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). We believe salvation is a free gift to all who repent and believe (trust) in Jesus Christ to redeem them through His death and resurrection.

4) We believe that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, and His Word need not be amended or re-evaluated for this or any other generation. We believe we should conform ourselves to God’s Word, not conform God’s Word to changing times or situations.

I understand that my participation and/or involvement in MHE events carries with it potential for certain risks, some of which may not be reasonably foreseeable.

I further acknowledge that these risks could cause me, my family or others around me, harm, including but not limited to, bodily injury, damage to property, emotional distress, or death.

Each member of my family is a willing participant in MHE classes, field trips, and events.

I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless MHE, as well as all of its directors, agents, representatives, successors, etc. from all losses, claims, theft, demands, liabilities, causes of action, or expenses, known or unknown, arising out of my involvement in MHE. 3. Membership Handbook Agreement

The terms and conditions outlined in this MEMBERSHIP HANDBOOK are the entire agreement for participating in Metro Home Educators (MHE) classes and activities. There are no oral promises, conditions, representations, understandings, interpretations or terms of any kind outside of this MEMBERSHIP HANDBOOK. MHE may revise, amend, or modify this MEMBERSHIP HANDBOOK at any time and in any manner. Any new revisions, amendments or modifications will be published on the MHE website at www.mheonline.org. To ensure that you are familiar with the current terms and conditions of the MEMBERSHIP HANDBOOK, we recommend that you check the MHE website regularly.
