Membership Year - June 1, 2016 - May 31, 2017
Lowcountry Christian Home Educators Association (LCHEA)
The Association has been formed to provide support, guidance, and encouragement to one another as home educators. The association works to create relationships based on closely held Christian principles. Membership provides opportunities throughout the tri-county area and beyond that would often not be available to an individual. Because LCHEA is a volunteer driven organization, any event or activity may be cancelled if volunteers are not available to perform duties to pursue the event.
We regret that families with children enrolled in virtual charter schooling (VCS or public school at home) are not eligible for LCHEA membership. Additionally, families who have both children receiving a VCS education and children receiving a traditional home school education as allowed through SC Code Section 59-65-40, 59-65-45, and 59-65-47 are not eligible for LCHEA membership. See Eligibility link above.
A few steps to fully complete your LCHEA membership for the 2016-2017 school year:
- Complete all parts of the Online Application (below). Please select ONE membership "Section".
- Concur with both LCHEA Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct links (next screen after online application).
- Mail your 2016-2017 membership dues to LCHEA or submit your payment online.
Your membership will be approved when your online application is complete and your payment is received. You will be notified by email and then will have full access to this LCHEA website and all LCHEA activities. Note: Membership year begins on June 1, 2016.
The annual membership fee is $45. School year is from June to May of the following year. (June 2016-May 2017)
If you are a renewing member, please also include any other outstanding debt owed to LCHEA from the previous school year (returned check fees, etc.) All checks returned for insufficient funds are subject to a minimum charge of $15 or the equivalent bank processing fee, whichever is greater.
