Welcome to Hill Country Homeschool Association.
We are a Christian-based organization formed since the early 1990's as a support group to encourage home educating families in the task of teaching their children at home. The group is administered by a board of directors and volunteer coordinators.
HCHSA currently serves in the Kerrville area and has active members from all over the Texas Hill Country.
Our Association is a place to build relationships, find homeschool support, resources, and encouragement for this adventure of educating our children.
Generally we have about one field trip per month.
We go all over to help our kids learn interactively – Cascade Caverns, Sauer-Beckmann living history farm, Kerrville Daily Times, just to name a few.
Monthly Moms' Meetups
Enjoy encouragement, food, and friendship with other moms on the same journey!
Date and Location will be posted for members in the forum.
A few hours once a week generally on Tuesdays for kids to play and parents to visit.
Park day announcement will be available to view via Calendar and/or Forum.
Co-Op Classes are a fun way to enrich your home school schedule with friends and a wide variety of classes! You must be a member of HCHSA to attend the classes.
Fall Co-Op runs 9 weeks September – November (registration in Aug).
Spring Co-Op runs 9 weeks February – April (registeration in Jan).
Co-Op classes are held in Kerrville, TX. The cost for the registration fee and classes are determined at time of registration.
Children can not be dropped off at the co-op classes; a parent or legal guardian must be in attendance.
A background check will be performed for all adult participants in Co-op, and repeated every 2 years as they continue to participate in Co-op.
