Welcome to Hill Country Home School Association
We are a Christian-based organization formed in the early 1990's as a support group to encourage home educating families in the task of teaching their children. The group is overseen by a Board of Directors and volunteer coordinators.
HCHSA serves Kerrville and surrounding areas in the Texas Hill Country.
Our Association is a place to build relationships and find homeschool support, resources, and encouragement for this adventure of educating our children.
Therefore encourage one another and build up one another...1 Thess. 5:11
Fieldtrips are a great way to provide enrichment to any homeschool. We have several exciting trips lined up for the 2021-2022 (September-May) school year that offer educational info as well as plain old fun! We go all over to help our kids learn interactively.
- San Antonio Aquarium
- San Antonio Zoo
- Botanical Gardens
- Government Canyon State Natural Area
- Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo
New locations are added every year by our fieldtrip coordinator.
Monthly Moms' Night
Enjoy encouragement, food, and friendship with other moms on the same journey! We schedule moms' night occasionally. The date of moms' night will be posted onto our Association Calendar which is viewable by members only.
*Though not an official HCHSA event, many of our families gather at the park for a few hours once a week, generally on Monday afternoons beginning at approximately 12:30. We meet for kids to play and parents to visit.
Summer Park Days vary and can be at different locations. There is a GroupMe notification app for members with up to date park info.
The HCHSA Co-Op Classes are a wonderful way to enrich your home school studies and strengthen your relationship in the Lord Jesus Christ! You must be a member of HCHSA to attend the classes.
