WELCOME TO HOB!

Homeschoolers of Bealeton (HOB) is a support system for homeschooling families located in Bealeton, Virginia and serving Fauquier County and the surrounding areas. Members are invited to share their ideas, events, achievements, support, encouragement and resources. 


Why HOB?

Members are invited to share their ideas, events, achievements, support, encouragement and resources.  HOB is an all-inclusive group.  We are a very active group that participates in many field-trips and special events for children of all ages.

Locations
HOB HQ is located in Bealeton, Virginia and although based in Fauquier County has members from Culpeper, Spotsylvania, Fredericksburg, Warrenton, Sumerduck, Remington, Stafford and other surrounding areas.
 
Membership
HOB has a membership fee of $25.00 per family per calendar year.  
Your annual membership includes: 
  • Access to our homeschool life website that has calendar of events, articles, a classified section, business directory.
  • Membership card to get teacher discounts at different retailers.
  • HOB Enrichment Classes and field trips.
  • Access to monthly meetings, clubs and special events as well as opportunities to attend some pretty amazing field trips.

CAMP HEMLOCK

CAMP HEMLOCK ADVENTURE

ADVENTURE AWAITS
Embark on a rustic adventure in the forest. Test your limits and learn valuable collaboration skills at Hemlock Overlook Regional Park, a fully equipped Outdoor Education Center outside Clifton, Virginia. 

For 22 years, Adventure Links has been a leader in camp, team building, outdoor education, and more. The inherent benefits of Adventure Links' outdoor programming have stimulated individual and team development for years. The team building programs will unify your group through a series of lessons and laughter. The  youth adventure will provide an active, hands-on environmental experience that will not be forgotton. It's time to get outside and find your adventure.

Adventure Links' camp at Hemlock Overlook Regional Park is accredited by the American Camp Association.  The ACA is the nationally recognized certifying body for summer camps. We are proud of this accreditation, and our site, policies, and procedures meet or exceed ACA recommendations for summer camps. 

WHO:
?This is an amazing opportunity is being opened to all homeschoolers (not limeted to HOB Members) ages 10-18.  It allows for them to emerge in a leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, obstacle, problem-solving environment.  Your student will not want to miss this.

There will be 2 groups:  Middle School and High School.
Middle School Group:  ages 10-13
High School Group:  ages 14-18

WHEN: 
March 30-31 (10am on March 30 until March 31st at 4pm)

WHERE:
It takes place at CAMP HEMLOCK in Clifton, Virginia.

Payment in full due upon enrollment.

Love to teach?  Have an interest you would love to share with the group?  Volunteer to teach a HOB Enrichment Class.  Can be quarterly, by the semester or...if you are scary brave... full year!  You set the day, location, time, cost and ages.

  • Co-coordinator to be my back up for upcoming events and assist in pulling them off.
  • 0-6 Kinder Group leader to arrange play dates and activities for the younger ones.
  • Field Trip Coordinator to set up field trips for us to enjoy.

ENRICHMENT CLASSES



If you are interested in teaching a HOB Enrichment Class for 4th Quarter be sure to contact Jaime Jones ASAP.  Enrollment is already open.  Spaces will fill up fairly quickly.  The sooner everything gets set up the more likely your class will fill.  :)

Please Note:  Cooking Class for 4th Quarter only has 1 space remaining!!

New to HOB: Forums

Now you can keep up to date on all things HOB and communicate with homeschool families!  A General Forum has been added to ask HOB and homeschool related questions and get faster news updates.  Age group forums have also been added so you can better communicate and connect to parents with children in the same stage of life.  Enjoy and utilize!
