Sonya Childs To All Instructors

Greetings! My name is Sonya Childs but my three children call me Mom and my four grandchildren call me, Nana. 

Christ Chosen Church in Virginia Beach has been my home church for about 9 years. I currently serve on the hospitality, administrative and praise and worship teams. I have also, on occasion, served in children and young adult ministries through Vacation Bible School and Children's church.

I am excited to join with the Homeschool Plus staff and parents as we work together to support, encourage, and inspire students in their pursuit of attaining academic excellence while holding onto and walking out their faith.

I graduated with a B.S. in Pharmacy in 1999 and practiced retail pharmacy for about 15 years before changing my career path. 

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, journaling, listening to music, singing, roller skating and playing pool. I also love being by the water.
