One Generation Project
One Generation Project is a two day training program for teens. Through fun, engaging activities, One Generation Project takes a comprehensive look at the history of free societies and their positive impact on the world, showing that limited government and free markets are the strongest force for prosperity and human flourishing the world has ever seen. But unless a new generation of champions stands up and defends it, the light of freedom could be extinguished. Through a series of interactive games, discussions, and activities, teens ages 14-18 learn about the foundation of our American liberties, capitalism, freedom of choice in trade, economics and personal responsibility, and how to be an effective advocate for freedom.
Grassroots Leadership Academy is bringing the One Generation Project to Champaign in August. The two day program is free of charge for the participants and includes lunch. It will be Wednesday, August 29, and Thursday, August 30, 10:30 - 3:30 p.m. at Mattis Avenue Free Methodist Church. It is open to ten to thirty teens ages 14 - 18. Time spent in these two days could go toward economics or government high school credits.
Parents who want to stay to observe the program are welcome. Those parents should register along with the students so the people running the program know to prepare for them (e.g., with chairs and lunches), but will not be counted in the ten to thirty minimum and maximum numbers.
Registration deadline is August 8. CHC membership is not required for participation, however, so you are free to register your friends as well.
