SVCHE Co-op

Sauk Valley Christian Home Educators is a homeschool co-op of 50+ Christian homeschool families in the Sauk Valley area. This is a parent run non-profit that is run by the parents. As of 2026 at least 1/2 of our families are directly managing parts that make the co-op function and every family is required to co-ordinate a field trips, seasonal parties, graduation, or other event thoughout the school year.

Friday School

SVCHE Families also cooperate to offer an optional Friday School feature that allows parents to facilitate social opportunities as well as educational, hands-on, group learning opportunities for our students. The Friday School feature is not a drop-off activity and requires active parent (sometimes grandparent or aunty) involvement during the Friday morning. Parents are needed as active participants in the program. After their first semester, they are expected to facilitate a learning experience.

Friday school co-op will re-open for new members in early August for the 2027/2028 School Year.

If you are looking for a Co-op that doesn't require parental teaching and group co-operation, please consider the homeschool co-op in Rochelle, Morrison or Fulton. Those co-ops allow student involvement without parental teaching commitments.
